How the planner works
- Applications to file = clinicians × new licenses per clinician.
- Board fees = applications × average fee per license.
- Staff time cost = applications × staff hours per application × staff cost per hour.
- First-year total = board fees + staff time cost.
- Annual renewal cost = applications × renewal cost per license per year.
- Months until the last license is likely issued = board processing weeks ÷ 4.345, plus one month to prepare and file.
Planner questions
What does the planner estimate?
The number of applications to file, first-year board fees and staff time, yearly renewal cost, and a rough timeline for the last license to issue, all based on the numbers you enter.
Where do I find real board fees and processing times?
On each state licensing board's website. Fees and posted processing times change, so check them before you budget.
Does the planner save my numbers?
Everything runs in your browser. Nothing you type is sent to Boardline or saved.
